Through March we will be holding a series of short lunchtime meetings at the Manor House in the centre of Solihull in the run up to Easter. It's an opportunity for people to look into Christianity and find out more about Jesus and his mission. The service will consist of some readings, prayers and a talk from the Bible. Feel free to bring and eat your lunch! Come when you can, leave when you must. |

If we look around the church today we might get very discouraged. Declining congregations, trouble filling pulpits (and when they are, what teaching are they filled with?), people who have lost their very reason for being in the church at all. Nehemiah was called by God to lead a work of rebuilding a city, Jerusalem, and to lead the people to renew their covenant with God. The story is one of spiritual leadership, courage in the face of opposition, setbacks, disappointment, joy. The book is there to teach us what to expect as we serve Christ in building his church. Follow with us as we study Nehemiah together. You can find the sermons here and the text of the book here. |
