Stephen is a Scot, born in Ayrshire, but has been living and working in England for twenty-one years. A physics and mathematics graduate, he studied for a PhD in nuclear physics and then spent three years in post-doctoral research at Glasgow University. While there he met his wife Susan. Finally, Stephen took the step into industry, moving to England to research and design gas turbines for large civil jet engines.
As an undergraduate Stephen became a Christian. While following a professional career he has served in various ways in church life. Finally, after a long period of reflection, and the encouragement of friends, he entered theological college to train for the Christian ministry. He left secular employment in 2003. While completing his studies he has worked as a student intern at an independent church in Derby. In the summer of 2006, he was invited to be the Ministerial Assistant to Dr. Albert Lutz, the founding Minister. Stephen was ordained and installed to the ministry at Solihull Presbyterian Church on 17th March 2007.
Stephen and Susan have a grown up daughter.
Stephen has a blog called Doggie's Breakfast (http://www.doggiesbreakfast.com).
