A God Worthy of Praise

The apostle Paul wrote Ephesians as a man of great Christian experience. Indeed, he said, "I bear on my body the marks of Jesus" (Galatians 6:17) having suffered much for the gospel. Yet his primary thought when he thinks of his God and Saviour and what he has received is one of worship and praise. Listen to the sermon from last Sunday (11 Jan 2009) here.

Ephesians in a Nutshell

Becoming a Christian is a life-changing step. Yet for most of us our appreciation of the significance of the step we have taken by God's grace only grows with time. 

The apostle Paul's letter to the Ephesian church is one that takes us to the heights! God is about the creation of a new society which is of cosmic significance. Last Sunday, as we began a new year of grace, we began to study this letter.  Listen to the introductory sermon here.

Resurrection, Calling and Blogging

A phone call came out of the blue. It was from the a woman at the BBC. The local radio station had found my blog. Not only had they discovered I was a blogger with a blog, but they had read it and discovered that I had come to faith in my teens, had been a physcist and engineer, and that I was training for the ministry.

Image Thanks to the helpful organiser of the monthly Farmers' Market in Solihull, we were able to set up a bookstall for SPC at the beginning of December. Our presence did cause some surprise - we are not farmers! But we did want to sow seed of a different kind.
